Create a logo for Lodging Platform, the team that serves as the technological backbone for all Expedia Group brands and the millions of properties in its inventory.
Expedia Group did not have rules dictating design unity for internal branding prior to March of 2018. With the new guidelines imposed, this particular client who has been with the company for more than ten years, required a great deal of handling before coming to a solution in line with his vision and that fit within brand guidelines.
Create a logo that could function as an illustration of the team’s role within the company and could scale for a wide-range of applications.
The final design is centered around the theme “Nucleus”, which is defined as central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth. The client immediately appreciated that this symbol is instantly recognizable to science/tech minded individuals and provides into the role of the team within the company.
